SPERIENZA [pseudonym]. The Winning Rules of Roulette Practically Considered. London: Harrison and Sons. [1905].
8vo. Original cloth, printed in red and black; pp. 230, [2], frontispiece in red and black, one plate in red and black, typographical tables in the text; spine darlened and cloth a little rubbed and marked, light offsetting from endpapers and frontispiece; otherwise very good.
Uncommon first edition of this 'infallable' system of winning at the roulette tables of France, mainly in Monte Carlo, which the author prefers compared with how roulette is set up in Nice. 'Mathematicians may rack their brains to upset this [Sperianza's] system, but I defy them to do so' (p. 83).
WorldCat locates copies in the BL, at Trinity, Dublin, Cambridge, Oxford, in the National Library of Scotland, in Reno and Las Vegas; LibraryHub adds one futher copy, with the National Trust.
