This is the first edition of an excessively rare Polish avantgarde book production, the first book pulication by Marian Niżyński (1910-1943), a poet, playwright, painter and graphic artist, whose experimental theatre production Dolmino was closed down by the censors in 1930 in Cracow. In 1943 he was run over by a German car. The poems in The Story of the Hunchback of Jaffa Port by the teenager is considered as a masterpiece of haunting scenes depicted in very expressive language.
OCLC locates copies in Wayne State and Poland; not in COPAC.
