This impressive collection of Robert Mapplethorpe’s work was prepared in collaboration with the Mapplethorpe Foundation which was established by the artist to provide funds for AIDS research and photographic projects. First published in 1992, this edition presents the full range of Mapplethorpe’s expansive oeuvre, from early polaroids to some of the last self-portraits taken shortly before his death in 1989.
