NEWBOULD, Frank (1887-1951). L.N.E.R, Harwich - Zeebrugge Night Service.
Original luggage label, c.1933. 115 x 115 mm.
The Zeebrugge service was taken over by L.N.E.R from Great Eastern train ferries in 1933. L.N.E.R trains ran between London's Liverpool Street station and Harwich Parkeston Quay where they connected to the night ferry sailing to Zeebrugge.
This was seen as seamless travel by L.N.E.R from London overnight to numerous European destinations, utilising the companys own ships and the rail connections from Zeebrugge.
