Histoire des révolutions de Hongrie is a history of Hungary from Stephen I (c. 1001–1038.) to Francis II Rákóczi's War of Independence against Habsburg (1703–1711), with Rákóczi's important memorandum on the war printed on 258 pages. Long before Hungarian self-determination this is a seminal text of Hungarian historiography. Domokos Brenner (c. 1675–1721) was a Hungarian diplomat who followed Rákóczi into exile in Paris.
