The Grand Hotel of Saint-Raphael inaugurated in March 1880, was the Citys first hotel designed specifically for foreign tourists. It was designed by architects Pierre Auble and Laurent Vianay.
Its popularity lead to a major expansion in 1888 with the addition of two more wings. As the first luxury establishment in the area, the Grand Hotel became the primary venue for high society receptions and events.
In 1958 it became a home for people of Armenian origin, but today welcomes all origins.
