Fourth edition, and the final one in the original format. Inscribed by the author to her second husband, Humphrey Verdon Roe. An exceptional and poignant association copy, inscribed early in the couple’s married life when Stopes was expecting their first child, stillborn two months later.
Wise Parenthood was the first of Stopes’ books to focus primarily on providing advice on contraception and reflects her eugenics-influenced justification for promoting birth control.
