8vo.; publisher's royal blue ribbed cloth elaborately blocked in blind and lettered in gilt to upper cover, top edges olivine; pp. [viii] + 92; with engraved frontispiece of St. Mary's Church Mold and one other engraving of Maegardon Mold; a very good copy with small bruising to bottom forecorners of boards and a little light dusting, internally very good with some offset soiling to pastedown endpapers.
First edition. Forgotten tales in verse from North Wales folklore and oral tradition, excluding any that were likely to be widely known and including, "The Vengeance of the Skull"; "The Goblin Well"; "An Indian Legend"; "Sea-Side Dreams" and "The Green Island of the Blessed" among others.
