Scarce first edition. The official correspondent with the Egyptian Expeditionary Force here gives an account of the campaign in Palestine. 'The book, in fact, tells the story of the twenty-third fall of Jerusalem, one of the most beneficent happenings of all wars …' writes Massey in the preface. T.E. Lawrence reviewed the book in the Oxford Magazine in 1920.
