If we do not have the book you want, or if you are after a particular title or edition, please do ask! Our dedicated team of booksellers will search high and low for the item you need, and if we cannot find it, can keep your details at your discretion to inform you should we locate a copy in the future.

While we cannot guarantee that we will find the title you want, we will aim to source the best possible copy if it is within our means to do so.

Selling To Us

 

Framing & Mounting

Whether you have just purchased a print or poster from us or elsewhere and would like some advice on framing, or whether you have a previously purchased item which you would like to round-off with a suitable mount or frame, our prints department are here to help. We offer a wide selection of framing options for colour, material, size and design.

We can also advise on the use of U.V protected glass and non reflective - up to Museum quality - glass.

We also use a trusted third party to create custom-made clamshell cases, fall-down-back boxes and slip cases. This is often a great alternative to storing older, or more delicate books, as opposed to a complete rebind. Boxes come with optional leather labels and gilt lettering.

Wedding & Gift Lists

Suitable for all lovers of books, we would be delighted to work with you to curate custom gift lists for any special occasion. We can tailor lists and make suggestions for suitable titles, authors and genres, and also to fit any budget.

Gift Vouchers

Need a present for a bibliophile but have no idea what they already have? Then our Gift Vouchers are the perfect option. We provide vouchers in £25, £50 and £100 denominations, also we also ship worldwide.

Gift Wrapping

Recently added to our range of services is our gift-wrapping package. For just £2.50 you can save all the hassle of buying paper and losing the end of the sellotape, and do away completely with wonky-ribbon tying. Just choose the ‘gift wrap’ option on your shopping cart, and we’ll do the rest!*

*Please note, for unusually large items, prices may vary.

 

Events Hire

We have opened up our beautiful showroom to a number of events over the years, including talks, product launches and exhibitions. Our showroom provides the perfect backdrop to many events, and we are open to discussing options with you.

Film & Photography Shoots

Sotheran’s provides a unique atmosphere for filming, and has been used as a location in many different broadcasting and commercial photography sets. Mostly, we open our space up on an evening or weekend basis, although it may be possible to film or shoot in the shop for limited periods in the daytime.

If you are a private collector looking to enhance your collection through professional advice, then Sotheran’s can help. Whether you are starting from scratch, or seeking to develop your library further, we can work with you to curate, plan, and obtain books on a vast array of topics, while working to a budget set by you.

Books also create a unique aesthetic in the home. We can obtain collections of fine bindings, as well as Library sets for interior design purposes.
