The hotel is located in a building constructed between the fourteenth and seventeenth Centuries. It is just a few doors down from Hotel Danieli. Significant restoration works were carried out during the nineteenth Century and the hotel rose in prominence as being among the best in Venice.
Guests include Freud, Thomas Mann and Marcel Proust.
