Original hotel luggage label, c.1912. 120 x 90 mm. The hotel opened in 1902 in the centre of Chamonix opposite the train station. At this time tourism was flourishing in the area and due to visitor numbers the hotel quickly enlarged. The first Winter Olympics were held in Chamonix in 1924.
