4to. Original cloth-backed marbled boards, spine lettered in gilt; pp. [iv], 49, [3]; binding a bit faded, light offsetting from endpapers, a very good copy, rarely seen in this condition.

First edition in this privately published format, number 32 of a print run limited to 375 copies, signed by the translator, masterfully printed in both Arabic and English in Leipzig by Haag-Drugulin. Edward Powys Mathers was an English poet, translator, and composer of cryptic crosswords. The more appropriate title of this 'international' publication should be The Scent of Lebanon.
