First Danish edition, with a new foreword by the author. The Swedish geologist Paijkull (1836-1869) visited Iceland in 1865, and his account of the island was first published in Swedish as En Sommar på Island (Stockholm: 1866), and was followed by this Danish edition and an English edition, translated by M.R. Barnard as A Summer in Iceland (London: 1868).
