Very rare first edition, first printing of this war-time cookery book. Among the meat substitutes are not altogether tasteless vegetarian susages based on lentils, with brazil nuts parsley, marmite and onion. Heart stuffed with minced veal, casserole of rabbit, a pan haggis (liver, oatmeal, Jamaican pepper, salt and pepper) are among the austere meat dishes.
