Tove Jansson is often best remembered for her children’s books, and her beloved character Moomin. Sculptor’s Daughter was her first book for adults. Throughout her memoir, Jansson recounts stories from her childhood in Helsinki, and it focuses on her experiences growing up in an artistic family. Jansson explores different aspects of her life through a series of vignettes akin to short stories.
