A fantastic example of the 1980s Gothic revival The Woman in Black follows the young solicitor, Arthur Kipps, to the eerie coast of the North East of England. Tasked with settling the estate of Eel Marsh, a series of chilling events befalls him. The novel was adapted into a play by Stephen Mallatratt; first performed in 1987, it is one of the longest running theatre shows in the history of London’s West End.
