Collection: Inman

I have taken great pleasure in curating this list, codenamed "Inman" after the bibliographer of these beautiful colour plate books. They are mostly monographs on countries and cities, all in rather attractive cloth bindings, issued at the beginning of the 20th century by Adam and Charles Black, or A. & C. Black for short. They make perfect presents for loved ones or for oneself. I always say to customers 'you don't even need to wrap the book, the outside looks already like a chocolate box'. A. & C. Black's success lay in the newly invented three colour process which enabled the publisher to include up to 100 colour plates per volume at an affordable price.
