Dutch anarchist Anton Constandse was the main figure in the Humanist movement in the Netherlands. In his address, published in this edition, at the One World Poetry, he identified the state of "Hollanditis" as the state of being in conflict with the condition in which the country finds itself, a hostile place with "nuclear arms leading us into the abyss". He writes of this insurrection, "to reject all this, is now labelled 'Hollanditis', as if it were a dangerous disease". He summarises the intention of this collection as a collation of essential Dutch writing in support of an empathetic culture, one which has been influenced by "enemies of war and friends of peace".

Those participant in this rebellion are Karel Apel, J. Bernlef, Lucebert, Remco Campert, Hans Plomp, Jules Deelder, Bert Schierkberk, Judith Herzberg, Simon Vinkenoog, and Anton Constandse.
