First UK edition, signed by the author on the half-title. Clavell's fourth novel in his Asian Saga is set in 1963 Hong Kong and follows the operations of Struan's, the great trading company known as the "Noble House of Asia". In 1988, it was adapted into a television miniseries starring Pierce Brosnan.
