An original pen-and-ink illustration on white card depicting the head of a young child, signed by A.H. Watson, created to illustrate Beside A Norman Tower by Mazo de la Roche (Macmillan 1934), unmounted, image size 15 x 15cm, with caption in pencil ("Diggory's expectant mouth when he leans forward and holts it up like a young bird - ") and notes to the engraver, in Watson's hand to margins, reproduced as a full-page plate on page 17 of the book; with creasing to margins, away from the image, and a little very minor dusting.
