A lavishly illustrated early English edition, rare in the publisher's attractive pictorial binding, the third Routledge edition. In the publisher's Notice - Author's Editions Clarke and Co. state that these editions will benefit the author financially ('a sum not inferior in amount to her receipts in America'). The publishers estimate that about one hundred and ten thousand copies had been distributed in Britain an various formats.
