B. Macdougall;; vellum splayed, marked and spotted, the latter particularly so to the outer edges; endpapers heavily browned and spotted; internally very fresh, very good.
Limited to just 400 copies on handmade paper, this no. 99.
A collection of sonnets and poems by Shakespeare, including The Sonnets, Venus and Adonis, and the Rape of Lucrece. The frontis shows Wriothesly, patron of Shakespeare and one of the founders of Virginia. Shakespeare dedicated 'The Rape of Lucrece' to him.
