Very rare first edition of this expedition and excavation report documenting the joint Polish-Egyptian 1973 campaign into the remote depressioans of Bir Sahara, in order to gain some understanding of the pre-history of Egypt. Bir Terfawi and Bir Sahara are among the oldest human-inhabited places in Africa.
