First edition. A geographical study of the highlands of Abyssinia, which considers demographic, economic and geological aspects of the area. The work originated as a dissertation written by the auther while a student at the Institute of Colonial Geography at Leipzig University, where his teachers included Hans Meyer, the celebrated German geogrpaher and traveller who made the first ascent of Kilimanjaro.
