Landscape 4to.; publisher's red cloth-backed pictorial boards, illustrated to both covers; pp., [x], 9-44; with full colour frontispiece and very attractive and accomplished black and white illustrations, vignettes and decorations to every page, surrounding the music score; a nice copy with overall light external dusting, rubbing, and pale spotting, internally clean with foxing to half-title.
First edition. An attractive group of alternate verses set to music and short stories with a fairyland theme including witches, pixies, elves, etc. The artwork is akin to the work of William Heath Robinson in line.
