As Norman Holmes Pearson, esteemed Yale academic and counterintelligence agent during WWII, would write in the Introduction to A Preliminary Checklist , "Without the list as a guide, not even goodwill will suffice". The contents of this recording of Ezra Pound's life work is seperated into three parts; his Books and Pamphlets, plus his contributions to Books and Pamplets, as well as the contributions he made to Periodicals. To return to the words of Pearson, to create a truly accurate 'bibligraphy' of Pound's extensive career as poet and critic, would require a mass" joint effort of all who are interested" but this book provides an essential "beginning" to one of literatures major figures.
