NIN, Anais. House of Incest. Photomontages by Val Telberg. Denver, Alan Swallow, [1961].
8vo. Original illutrated wrappers; pp. 71, highly illustrated in black and white; minor wear to extremities, one double page with two tiny spots and crayon marks; otherwise a very good copy.
Anais Nin's first work of fiction (1936), a surrealistic introspection, congenially accompanied by Val Telberg's photomontages, first published in this format in 1958. Anais Nin's friend Vladimir Telberg von Teleheim, the Russian-born artist-photographer was perfectly suited to match the dreamlike and saltatory prose.
