This album was produced from the first International Salon of Nude Photography, Paris 1933. Daniel Masclet was a talented musician before purusing a career as a photographer. This catalogue, issued to coincide with the exhibition, features female nudes selected by Masclet on the grounds of artistic and technical impression. The contributions include Man Ray's famous Violon D'Ingres as well as his "Solarizations", which transformed photographs into drawings; works by the renown female fashion photographer Yva (who would later be influential in teaching a young Helmut Newton), E. O. Hoppé, and Moholy-Nagy to name but merely a few of the greats.
