Scarce first edition, the issue in the superior binding. Rodney Gallop worked for the Foreign Office and collected items where he and his wife Marjorie were stationed, and was co-organizer of the International Folk Dance Festival in 1935. This is the best researched English language book on the Basque Country and the Basque people of the first half of the 20th century. The book was later translated into Spnish and French.
