First edition, with misprint "here" for "her" on line 1 of p.29 (believed to be one of only a few hundred out of the total of 19,950 copies issued with this misprint). A witty comedy of keeping up appearances in a West End drawing room, including, of course, interjections of Eliot's view of the bleak hollowness of materialism which haunts post-war Britain.
