8vo., original dark blue boards printed in yellow green and white on the spine and upper board, with the title blocked in gilt on the spine only; 73 colour-plate illustrations, captioned on the tissue guards, 20 black and white illustrations and a further 58 smaller illustrations throughout the text (2 by F.S. Walker); spine and top edge of the upper board sunned, stain on the lower half of the spine, internally fresh with minor marginal toning as usual, otherwise very good.
Second printing of 3000 copies. All reprints are dated 1906 but are distinguishable by the lack of gilt to on the upper board.
