First edition. Caranti was a deputy of the Italian Parliament, who had already published some biographical details of Livingstone in 1867. In this work he provides a brief sketch of Livingstone's life and achievements, with a map showing his last journey. - Very rare; COPAC lists one copy only, in the British Library.
