ANON. Trans Siberian Express. Moscow-Vladivostok 10 days.
Original luggage label, printed in c.1935. 65 x 145 mm.
This luggage label was issued to customers travelling on the train by the Intourist agency in London which opened in 1933.
After the Russian revolution carriages from the Nord Express in St. Petersburg were confiscated by the Government and were used for the new Trans-Siberian Express.
Brochures promoting the luxurious life style on board the train contrasted with the fate of forced labourers improving the railway line.
Very rare and in fine condition.
