This seventeenth Century building on the Grand Canal was originally known as the Palazzo Dandolo.
The first Ridotto Publico was held here where traders, travellers and nobility indulged in pleasure, gambling and intrigue.
Through time the building has had many uses and became the Grand Hotel in the late nineteenth Century. The Benetton family acquired the 100 room Hotel which comprises now of three buildings, including the Palazzo Dandolo in the 1990's.
