The Hotel was built in 1927 and designed by Italian Architect Floristano Di Fausto. At the time it was considered an Architectural masterpiece. Erwin Rommel visited the Hotel in 1941 when he was leading Germanys North Africa campaign.
In 1942 the Hotel suffered heavy bombing causing it to close. A new grand Hotel was built in 1982.
A rare label in fine condition.
