Imperial Airways was formed in 1924 and was based at Croydon airport. The first route to Paris was opened with a de Havilland DH34, starting in April 1924. Shortly followed with flights to Cologne, Amsterdam and Zurich. The first new aircraft ordered by Imperial Airways was the Handley which was delivered in November 1924, as depicted in this label.
This label was obtained on the journey back to London.
