Air France was formed on 30th August 1933 as a result of a merger of several airlines including Air Union and Air Orient. In 1936 the airline added the French built twin engine Potez 62 aircraft to its fleet as depicted in this label.
During World War II Air France moved its operations to Casablanca Morocco. In 1945 the airline opened its first air terminal at Les Invalides in central Paris which had direct links to Le Bourget airport.
