Collection: Subcontinent

The term 'subcontinent' might sound belittling given the size of the area covered, the diversity and ancient history of the region south of the main ridge of the Himalayas. That word has as well a slight taste of colonialism and in more recent times is being replaced by 'South Asia'. Anyway, this little list of flavoursome books covers roughly the modern states of Bangladesh, Pakistan and India in all their diversity and complex history.
