A 1966 reissue from the Olympia Press Traveller’s Companion Series, No. 114. These editions were published simultaneously with the Paris Olympia Press in London and New York, following a series of censorship battles. ‘Junkie’ was originally published in pulp
format by ACE Books, New York, in 1953.
Originally released under the pen name ‘William Lee’, the book tells the personal story of Burroughs’s experiences with addiction, and was his first published novel.
