The last edition published in the lifetime of Robert Elliot Bewick, only son of Thomas Bewick. "This edition contains about twenty additional vignettes, not before published, which were designed and engraved on wood by the late Thomas Bewick, being part of a series intended by him as embellishments for a History of British Fishes, on which he was engaged at the time of his death."
