Large 8vo.; publisher's.decorative red cloth attractively blocked in black and gilt to spine and upper board, lettered gilt, top edges gilt, others untrimmed; pp. x, + 332, with a total of 50 tinted plates with an additional 50 plates in full colour, all with captioned tissue-guards, a lovely bright copy with some uniform fading to spine and light foxing to edges of book block, internally very good and clean with early armorial bookplate to front pastedown and a neat ownership inscription to front free endpaper.
Second edition, but first trade edition; originally published in a limited edition the previous year.
