Original red linson boards decorated with a lattice pattern in blind, with repeating dog motifs, spine lettered and decorated with dog centres in black, in pictorial dustwrapper; pp. [vi], 7-181 + [ii] adverts..; illustrated with full-colour plates by Leslie Stead; externally very sharp and clean, internally very good without ownership marks or inscriptions and only 5 finy ink dashes, each 3mm, to titles in the printed series list at the rear, with some speckling to edges of book block, light foxing to free endpapers, and 4 minor offset fox-marks to free endpapers from a taped cover, now removed.
First edition.. Biggles is busy helping to stamp out dope peddling, clearing up a murder case, and diffusing problems in the French Guinea.
