Large 8vo.; publisher's deepest red decorative cloth stamped in orange and yellow to an Islamic design by Turbayne, to both spine and upper cover, with his distinctive scarab monogram, lettered gilt, top edges gilt, others untrimmed;; pp. xii + 210 + [ii] + [4, advertisements]; with a total of 75 coloured plates protected by captioned tissue-guards and a folding map of the region printed in blue tipped in to the rear; a very good, bright, and attractive, copy with a touch of uniform fading to spine and bruising to spine ends; internally very good with cracking to inner upper hinges, some light offset toning and occasional pale foxing and spotting, one tissue-guard with a longish scuffed tear; an elusive title in the series.
