Large 8vo.; publisher's blue-green cloth panelled and decorated in darker blue and gilt to spine and upper cover, lettered gilt, top edges gilt, others untrimmed; pp. xi + 118, with 24 fine coloured plates with captioned tissue-guards, a very good, clean copy with mild rubbing to joints, slight bruising to spine ends, and light foxing to untrimmed edges of book block, internally clean with only occasional very slight spotting, a neat contemporary inscription, dated 1910, to half-title, and previous owner's armorial bookplate to inner upper cover.
First South African edition, published alongside the U.K. edition by A. & C. Black.
