First edition, Olympia Press Traveller’s Companion Series, No. 115. These editions were published simultaneously with the Paris Olympia Press in London and New York, following a series of censorship battles.
A story which follows the protagonist, Louisa, working in Germany after the war, and her obsessive affair with a psychiatrist. The book was immediately banned upon publication in the UK and Germany for its graphic and often brutal depictions of various sex practices.
