First edition of this collected anthology, published in October 1966. No. 107 in the Olympia Press Traveller’s Companion Series. These editions were published simultaneously with the Paris Olympia Press in London and New York, following a series of censorship battles.
A series of tales, poems, scientific documents and tricks appearing in the ‘Olympia Magazine’ and here edited by Maurice Girodias, who intended to “create a house organ of a kind, and its function was mainly to attract and help in the discovery of new talent.” The
preface provides an interesting insight into the history of the publication, and the editor’s censorship battles.
