A Diversity of Creatures is a collection of poems and stories. The anthology begins with a futuristic tale based in 2065 in which a leading body referred to as the 'Aërial Board of Control' are responsible for running the planet. In this way, many of Kipling's stories explore themes of the effects of dubious governing bodies and the often restrictive structures in society.
