The Cheltenham Flyer steam train was the popular name for the Cheltenham Spa Express. The train was introduced by G.W.R in 1932 and held the unchallenged title to be the World's fastest train. It reached a speed of 71.4 miles per hour between Swindon and Paddington.
The train would eventually lose its title of fastest to the Pennsylvania Railroad of America.
