Swiss Air was founded in 1931 and was headquartered at Zurich airport. Initially the airline only flew between March and October. The first aircraft used were Lockheed Orions operating between Zurich - Munich - Vienna.
In 1936 London was added to the route network. The last flight before the airline collapsed was in 2002 from Sao Paulo to Zurich.
